Marty and Brian have abandoned us this week, so instead Max is joined by Jared, mustachioed IGN bigwig Tal, and -- surprise surprise -- Andrew Goldfarb. The big topics this week are Doom's two-frame teaser trailer, Ubisoft's mea culpa for Assassin's Creed Unity while announcing Syndicate, and the difference between working in games press and game development and/or publishing.

Sorry for the late episode, gang! If you missed it, this week we tried somethng new: recording Podcast Beyond LIVE. Like, on a livestream. In honor of this special occasion, and because it's right around the corner, we decided to discuss our favorite E3 moments and our predictions for what Sony will show off this year.

This week, we're short a chair, so it's just Max, Marty and Brian. Max and Brian spent the weekend at Star Wars Celebration, where they got to see Battlefront in action. There's plenty to be excited about, but also a few reasons to be skeptical. BEYOND that, there's also talk of Mass Effect 4, Fallout 4, and a redesigned Playstation Vita.

This week, Max, Marty, and Brian are joined by Eden Rohatensky of the Jimmy & Eden podcast (among other things) to discuss their favorite game soundtracks, the use of comedy in games, and the possibility of the first three Uncharted games remastered on Playstation 4.

Marty, Max, and Brian are joined by Mitch Dyer, who was flown halfway across the planet to go play one of the most anticipated games of this generation: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. So, uh, is it cool? Meanwhile, Star Wars: Battlefront is something we're going to see very soon, and we take a moment to reflect upon why we play games.

This week, Max, Marty, and Brian are joined once again by the lovable and eloquent Jared Petty, who regales us with stories from working at the ol' sock mill. Of course, there's plenty of game discussion, including the newly released Axiom Verge, which Marty reviewed, and the latest hands-on impressions of Rainbow Six: Siege.

Finally, Bloodborne is here! Max, Marty, Brian, and special guest Mitch Dyer chew the fat about From Software's latest control-throwingly difficult offering, and discuss what makes their games so satisfying in this age of dumbed-down casual "experiences."

The ever-delightful Jared Petty joins Max, Marty, and Brian once again to discuss Uncharted 4's delay, and to answer some listener emails on the subjects of game-ruining bugs and morally reprehensible actions in virtual worlds. Plus, we have a very special all-terrain missile-launching guest star.

The Order: 1886 came out last week, and in spite of a luke-warm critical reception, it's still got plenty of redeeming qualities. Brandin Tyrrel, who reviewed the game for IGN, joins Max, Marty, and Brian to talk about what we would want from the game's probable sequel. Other topics include Axiom Verge, the PS Vita's third birthday, and haunted pyramids.
